Big announcement: Gene Simmons quietly cancels solo band tour dates

Former KISS bassist Gene Simmons has quietly cancelled a number of April and May 2025 tour dates with his solo outfit, Gene Simmons Band.

Ticketholders to select shows on Gene Simmons Band’s North American tour received an email on Thursday (20th March) confirming the concerts will no longer be going ahead.

Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event,” the emails read. “You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer. It should appear on your account within 14-21 days.”

It was initially thought that only five shows were cancelled – at House of Blues in Anaheim, Muckleshoot Casino Events Center in Auburn, The Great Saltair in Magna, The Fillmore Miami Beach at Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach, and at the House of Blues in Houston.

These five concerts were also removed from the tour page of Gene Simmons’ official website.

However, fans have also been sharing emails from other venues in Tallahassee and Denver, revealing that those shows have also been axed.

The Moon in Tallahassee, Florida suggested the entire tour has been axed when they wrote: “Good day. Well, not so good with this news… the Gene Simmons tour has been cancelled.”

Gene Simmons is yet to make an announcement regarding the tour.

Earlier this month, Gene Simmons hit global headlines when he announced he was charging fans a whopping $12,495.00 (£9,600) to be his roadie for the day.

Billed as ‘The Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience’, aside from lugging Gear around, the package includes a variety of perks including have a meal with Gene and receiving a signed rehearsal used bass guitar.
