Anthrax Announces New Concept Album Release Date for Fall 2025

New York, NY – May 10, 2025 — Thrash metal legends Anthrax have officially announced the release date for their long-anticipated new album, revealing it will arrive in Fall 2025. The upcoming record is being described as a concept album, marking a bold creative step for the band known for high-speed riffs and socially conscious lyrics.

This will be Anthrax’s first studio album in nearly a decade, following 2016’s For All Kings. According to guitarist Scott Ian, the project will “tell a unified story from beginning to end,” with each track representing a chapter in a dystopian narrative exploring power, resistance, and survival.

Drummer Charlie Benante called the music “dark, cinematic, and heavier than anything we’ve done in years,” while vocalist Joey Belladonna noted that the vocals will “push the limits emotionally and technically.”

The album, currently untitled, is set to coincide with a major UK tour in July 2025, followed by a global run later in the year. Fans can expect the first single to drop in late summer.
