A couple Robbie Williams ‘wed’ at screening defends his bombing of ‘Better Man’

Haldun Uluç Ülgen and his fiancée Amy Willoughby, who were “married” by Robbie Williams at a screening of his film Better Man, are staying optimistic despite the film’s disappointing box office performance. Haldun shared with TMZ that they loved the movie, dismissing critics who are quick to bash it without having seen it. He believes the movie’s failure could be due to a reluctance to try something new and acknowledges Robbie’s star power is stronger in the UK than the U.S.

Haldun is confident that the film will find its audience on streaming platforms and predicts it will become a cult classic. As for their “wedding,” Haldun clarified that it wasn’t official, but the couple has already planned their actual nuptials for June 4 at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas. The venue holds special meaning for them as it’s referenced in Robbie’s song “Me and My Monkey.”
