The estranged wife of Earl Thomas is accused of defrauding the former NFL player out of millions of dollars.
Nina Thomas, the estranged wife of former NFL star Earl Thomas, is facing serious legal trouble after prosecutors accused her of swindling him out of over $2.7 million. According to court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the alleged scheme began in September 2021, shortly after Nina filed for divorce from the ex-Seattle Seahawks safety in 2020.
Prosecutors claim Nina and a co-conspirator, whose identity remains redacted in the documents, diverted money and property from Earl without his knowledge. They allegedly funneled the funds into bank accounts under their control, using some of the stolen money for personal expenses, including breast implants and a Hermes Birkin handbag.
An arrest warrant was issued for Nina on December 13, and she was taken into custody on December 16. She was later released but now faces multiple charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.
Nina and Earl Thomas tied the knot in 2016 in a lavish ceremony attended by notable guests like Russell Wilson and Ciara. However, their relationship took a dramatic turn in 2020 when Nina was accused of holding a loaded gun to Earl’s head after discovering him cheating.
While Nina, who now identifies as a real estate agent, has been active on Instagram, she has not publicly addressed the allegations against her. Meanwhile, the case continues to unfold, with significant legal implications for all parties involved.
