Erasure Hit a Major Milestone as New Album Surpasses 50 Million Streams on Global Platforms

British synth-pop pioneers Erasure are celebrating a major success as their latest album, Day-Glo (Based on a True Story), has officially surpassed 50 million streams across global platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music.

Released on August 12, 2022, Day-Glo is a bold, experimental companion to their 2020 comeback album The Neon. Built from the sonic DNA of that earlier release, Day-Glo reimagines Erasure’s sound with ambient textures, glitchy rhythms, and Andy Bell’s unmistakable vocals floating through dreamlike soundscapes.

“This project was a creative leap for us,” said synth maestro Vince Clarke. “To see it resonate on this scale is incredibly rewarding.”

As Erasure gears up to mark their 40th anniversary in 2025, the success of Day-Glo underscores their continued relevance and innovation in a genre they helped define. A new album and select anniversary performances are expected later this year.
