Longoria, Eva Jeff Bezos Contributes $1 Million to L.A. Fire Relief Efforts

Eva Longoria has made a significant pledge of $1 million to aid in the fire recovery efforts in Los Angeles. The actress, who founded the Eva Longoria Foundation in 2012, is utilizing funds from the Bezos Courage and Civility Award, which she received last year from Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. As part of the award, she was given $50 million to distribute to causes of her choice over the next decade.

Longoria had previously matched $50,000 in donations to This Is About Humanity with her own money and is now directing the $1 million donation to the Latino Community Foundation and the California Community Foundation. These funds will be used to address both the immediate and long-term recovery needs for those affected by the Palisades and Eaton fires in Los Angeles.

In her statement, Eva expressed her heartbreak over the devastation caused by the fires, noting that she hopes her donation can help support the resilience of communities affected by the disaster, particularly frontline workers, farm workers, day laborers, and families.
