The tragic fall of Liam Payne in Buenos Aires, as detailed in the new TMZ Presents: Liam Payne: Who’s to Blame? documentary, is being revisited through the emotional account of Bret Watson, a wedding guest at the CasaSur Palermo hotel. Bret, who was in a room on the first floor with his wedding planner, witnessed Liam’s fall and is haunted by the experience. The two saw Liam plummet from a balcony, and Bret believes he died instantly, deeply affected by the sound of his body hitting the ground.

Bret shares that throughout the day, he noticed Liam becoming increasingly intoxicated and erratic, with hotel staff eventually carrying him to his room, shortly before the fatal fall occurred. This version of events contrasts with that of Liam’s friend, Roger Nores, who asserts that Liam was in good spirits an hour before the incident. Official documents reveal that Liam had been seeking drugs earlier in the day, texting for cocaine, and meeting with Braian Paiz, a waiter who allegedly supplied him with drugs.

The documentary airs tonight at 8 PM ET on FOX and will be available for streaming on Hulu starting Tuesday.
