Jets QB Justin Fields gets carted off in training camp | How bad is injury?

Posted on July 24, 2025 by sportsmars60@gmail.com

Jets quarterback Justin Fields was carted to the locker room after an apparent lower leg injury during training camp on Thursday.

UPDATE 10:28 am: Jets head coach Aaron Glenn told reporters that Fields has a toe injury on the right side of his foot. He does not yet know the severity.

Fields went to the ground on a non-contact injury during team drills and afterward limped off the field. He was being pressured but wasn’t hit when he went down and suffered what appeared to be a lower-leg injury.

Medical staff attended to Fields in a tent, and he then rode in the passenger seat of the cart to the door of One Jets Drive. He walked with a slight limp after getting off.

The Jets’ team doctor could be seen talking to general manager Darren Mougey right after Fields was taken away.

The injury occured on the fifth snap of team drills. Fields was replaced by quarterback Tyrod Taylor after his exit.

This offseason, the Jets signed Fields, 26, to a two-year, $40 million contract to be their new quarterback.
