Jamie Carragher has urged Liverpool to prioritize signing Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez as a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson, whose form has dipped this season. Speaking on Sky Sports, Carragher highlighted the club’s opportunity to leverage its ties with Bournemouth’s former technical director, Richard Hughes, now Liverpool’s sporting director. Carragher praised Kerkez’s aggressive style and strong performances, noting his impressive debut Premier League season, which includes a goal and two assists.

Robertson, 30, has struggled to replicate his past attacking contributions, failing to score or assist in his 14 Premier League appearances this season. His recent red card against Fulham and costly errors have amplified concerns about his form.

In addition to targeting Kerkez, Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi as part of their long-term defensive rebuild. The 24-year-old England international, who shone at Euro 2024, is seen as a potential successor to Virgil Van Dijk. Liverpool have also made forward-thinking moves by securing goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili as a future replacement for Alisson Becker.
