CM Punk feels experienced and may not yet contend for the WWE World Title; two matches remain against the arch-rival.

CM Punk’s clean victory over Seth Rollins on WWE RAW’s Netflix debut made waves, especially as Punk declared his intention to chase the world championship by calling out both Cody Rhodes and Gunther. However, WWE veteran Tommy Carlucci has a different perspective on the match and its implications for Punk’s title aspirations.

Carlucci expressed surprise at Seth Rollins losing clean to Punk, particularly given their real-life differences. He believed that the loss was unexpected, as Rollins is a highly skilled and professional wrestler. Carlucci also indicated that this feud is far from over, predicting that the rivalry between Punk and Rollins would span three matches, making it a trilogy. He stated, “I thought they told a pretty good story in the ring… there’s going to be—there has to be—two more matches before this whole thing ends.”

While Punk’s sights are set on the world championship, Carlucci believes that the feud with Rollins may delay those ambitions for a while. With the trilogy expected to unfold, it’s unclear where Punk’s path to the championship will lead in the coming weeks.
