Mims has logged 802 snaps this season, nearly matching his college total of 803. Head coach Zac Taylor and offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher praised the rookie’s growth, particularly his consistency against elite pass rushers like Myles Garrett, T.J. Watt, and Micah Parsons.

While Pro Football Focus (PFF) ranks Mims 50th of 61 tackles with at least 300 true pass sets, his upward trajectory is clear. Mims earned a 74.4 pass-blocking grade in Sunday’s win over the Titans, following a perfect 100% efficiency performance. His earlier 98.2% grade in Week 7 against Garrett further highlighted his ability to rise to big challenges.

Taylor emphasized Mims’ mental toughness, noting the difficulty of maintaining focus on every snap to prevent game-changing plays like sack fumbles. Scouts, who championed Mims’ selection at No. 18 in the draft, believed in his physical tools and unquantifiable mental edge despite limited college tape.
