Toto Announces Surprise World Reunion Tour: “Africa Will Echo Again”

Los Angeles, CA –

In a move that has stunned fans and delighted classic rock lovers, the legendary band Toto has officially announced a surprise 2025 world reunion tour, marking the first time in nearly a decade that the classic lineup will take the stage together.

The tour, titled “Echoes of Africa”, kicks off in September with a massive open-air concert in Johannesburg, South Africa — a symbolic nod to their timeless hit “Africa”, which has become a global anthem across generations.

The band’s announcement came via a cinematic teaser video posted on social media, showing archival footage of live performances, studio sessions, and a slow reveal of the words: “Toto Returns.”

Original Members Reunite for the Fans

Founding keyboardist David Paich, guitarist Steve Lukather, and longtime vocalist Joseph Williams are all confirmed to headline the tour, with guest appearances rumored from former members including Steve Porcaro and even archival visual tributes to the late Jeff and Mike Porcaro.

Speaking at a press conference, Lukather said:

“We never really left—our music just kept playing. But now, we’re walking back on stage for the fans, for the legacy, and for the love of music. This tour is for every soul who ever sang ‘Hold the Line’ at the top of their lungs.

A Global Celebration of a Timeless Sound

The Echoes of Africa tour will span 15 countries, including stops in Tokyo, Sydney, London, São Paulo, and Los Angeles. Special VIP packages will include exclusive pre-show meetups and limited-edition vinyl releases.

Toto’s resurgence in popularity over the last decade has been powered by streaming platforms, movie placements, and an enduring Gen Z love for their melodic and technically brilliant catalog.

Tickets go on sale next month, and early demand is already surging online.

> “The rains are coming again — and we’re bringing thunder with them,” teased Paich with a grin
