In 2023, Vedder returned to his hometown of Seattle for two unforgettable solo shows at Benaroya Hall. Raw, emotional, and purpose-driven, these performances raised over $5 million for EBRP in just two nights.
The film borrows its name from Vedder’s haunting solo track, Matter of Time, first released during the 2020 Venture Into Cures virtual benefit. A song steeped in themes of change, endurance, and hope, it’s never been performed live—until now, possibly, as the film suggests a new version may have been recorded exclusively for the documentary.
