Camel Announces 2025–2026 Global Tour Dates and Exciting New Album Release

May 2, 2025 – London, UK — After years of quiet, the legendary progressive rock band Camel has roared back to life with the announcement of a worldwide 2025–2026 tour and a brand-new studio album, their first in over two decades.

The tour, titled “Spirits of the Earth”, will take the band across Europe, North America, South America, Japan, and Australia, marking Camel’s most ambitious run since the early 2000s. The announcement comes alongside news of their forthcoming album, “The Turning of the Leaves”, set for release in October 2025.

Guitarist and founding member Andrew Latimer, who has been battling health issues in recent years, confirmed he will lead the tour alongside longtime collaborators Denis Clement (drums), Colin Bass (bass), and Peter Jones (keys, vocals).

“The past few years gave me time to reflect and write,” said Latimer in a video message to fans. “The Turning of the Leaves is a deeply personal album — rooted in change, loss, and beauty. We’re excited to share it live.”

The new album reportedly blends classic Camel soundscapes — lyrical guitar, flowing melodies, and cinematic structures — with modern textures and lyrical depth. Early previews suggest a return to the conceptual storytelling style of The Snow Goose and Dust and Dreams.

Tour dates begin November 2025 in Glasgow, with shows already sold out in London, Berlin, and Tokyo. A deluxe vinyl and box set of the new album is also planned, with preorders opening next week.

This marks Camel’s first full album release since 2002’s A Nod and a Wink, and fans are hailing the announcement as a triumphant return of one of prog rock’s most poetic voices.
