Most Chelsea fans would have been happy with the news that Al-Nassr had agreed a €50m deal to sign Joao Felix. It meant that the Blues were able to recoup most of the money they had shelled out to bring the Portuguese international to Stamford Bridge a year back from Atletico Madrid. Somewhat of a miracle considering the season he had.
Felix spent the first half of the campaign at Chelsea but only made three starts in the Premier League, as he was clearly a cover option. He was then sent out on loan to AC Milan but failed to impress there either.
It had looked like Benfica were closing in on a deal to sign Felix for a much lower transfer fee but Al-Nassr swooped in late and got the deal done. But it looks like that might not be the end of their interest in Chelsea’s players.
