According to Seth Rollins, his toughest adversary in the WWE “does deserve the spotlight.”

Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre both had tough nights on the December 16, 2024, edition of RAW on Netflix, with Rollins losing clean to CM Punk and McIntyre falling to Jey Uso. This continues the ongoing rivalry between Rollins and McIntyre, which has seen notable confrontations, including their high-profile match at WrestleMania 40, where McIntyre defeated Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Despite their rivalry, Rollins praised McIntyre in a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, acknowledging the Scottish Superstar’s strong year in 2024. Rollins stated that McIntyre deserves the spotlight after a year of impressive performances, noting his growth and development in both in-ring ability and on the microphone. Rollins remarked, “Say what you will about him being a super troll online, when you get him out there in the ring, whether it’s with a microphone or in a match, he’s one of the best there is.”

Rollins also reflected on his own career during the interview, discussing the possibility of retirement. At 38 years old, Rollins feels confident that he has more than a couple of years left in him, considering the changes in the wrestling industry and his own physical capabilities.

With his loss to CM Punk still fresh, Rollins’ future on RAW and his next moves remain uncertain, though his respect for McIntyre shows the ongoing mutual respect among top WWE talent.
