Marcus Rashford is reportedly prepared to be persuaded to join the team led by an Arsenal and Chelsea legend by an ex-Manchester United player.
Raphael Varane, a former Manchester United player, is reportedly ready to help persuade Marcus Rashford to join Serie A side Como, who have gained promotion to Italy’s top league in 2024. Como, currently in 16th place in Serie A, are seeking to strengthen their attack and see Rashford as a key addition. The club, coached by former Arsenal and Chelsea star Cesc Fabregas, has already made notable signings like Andrea Belotti, Nico Paz, and Sergi Roberto, but they need more reinforcements up front.
Although Como has the financial capability to sign Rashford, other clubs, including Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan, are also interested. Rashford’s brother, Dwaine, was recently in Milan discussing a potential transfer to AC Milan, which suggests that a move to the Italian giants cannot be ruled out. Additionally, Tottenham Hotspur is reportedly considering a loan move for Rashford.
Rashford, who has been with Manchester United since 2016, has had a challenging season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 24 appearances. His form has been under scrutiny, and with United struggling under new manager Ruben Amorim, the possibility of Rashford seeking a move has become more likely.
Amorim’s tenure at Manchester United started promisingly with a win against Manchester City, but the team’s form has since faltered, with only one win in their last five matches. They are preparing for an FA Cup match against Arsenal on January 12.
