Kysre Gondrezick, Jaylen Brown’s girlfriend, responds in a healthy way after his brother Grant Gondrezick II erupts with 20 points.
Kysre Gondrezick, the girlfriend of Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, recently celebrated her younger brother, Grant Gondrezick II, for his impressive performance in a game against the Wisconsin Badgers. Grant, a freshman at Detroit Mercy, scored 20 points, shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc, although his team lost 76-53. Kysre shared her pride on Instagram, writing, “Light 20 piece! Super proud of you @grantgondrezick3.”
Grant’s 20-point performance came close to his career-high of 22 points, which he scored in a November victory over Eastern Michigan. This season, Grant is averaging 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game for the 5-9 Detroit Mercy Titans.
Kysre herself has had a notable basketball journey. She was drafted fourth overall in the 2021 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, becoming the highest draft pick in West Virginia’s program history. She played 19 games in her rookie season but spent much of her college career at West Virginia, where she averaged 19.5 points per game during her senior year.
After a break from basketball to focus on mental health following the death of her father, Kysre later signed with the Chicago Sky for training camp in 2024 but was waived by the team in June. She is currently a free agent.
