Though Kate did not specifically mention the tattoo, her post, along with a red heart emoji, suggested that the symbol was a way for her to express her love and keep Liam close to her during the holidays.

Kate had been very open about her grief since Liam’s passing. She shared personal moments with him, including intimate home videos, in a TikTok post earlier this month, simply captioning it, “I love you.” She also referred to Liam as her “angel” and “everything” in heartfelt messages.

Kate and Liam had been in Argentina leading up to his death in October, where they had extended their trip after attending Niall Horan’s concert. Kate had left Argentina shortly before the tragedy, and she was not present when Liam tragically fell from his hotel room balcony. He was 31 years old.

The incident remains under investigation, with three people charged in connection to Liam’s death.
