Danielle Vasinova, star of 1923 and The Madison, has shared a deeply personal story about her battle with COVID-19 in December 2019, months before the virus became a global crisis. The 42-year-old actress revealed that she experienced severe complications, including complete organ failure, and flatlined for three minutes before being revived.

Initially, Danielle believed she had the flu. “I went to urgent care in downtown L.A., and they decided it was strep and sent me home with some antibiotics. But by the next day, I could barely walk. My legs wouldn’t move. It was bizarre,” she told People. Her condition worsened rapidly, and later that night, her uncle took her to the emergency room.

“I felt like I was going to die,” she recalled. Her uncle described a chaotic scene as medical staff worked to save her life. “A tiny girl jumped on top of my chest and began pumping, pumping, pumping,” Danielle recounted. Her heart stopped briefly but was restarted, and she was placed into an induced coma to stabilize her critical condition.

The actress described the ordeal as transformative. While she didn’t experience the commonly reported “light or tunnel” during her near-death experience, she began noticing recurring sequences of angel numbers, such as 5555 and 7777, which she took as signs that she had a greater purpose to fulfill. “Something was telling me, ‘There’s something more for you. You weren’t meant to go just yet.’”

Danielle calls her survival a “rebirth” and a pivotal moment in her life. “I know to take nothing for granted. Life is so precious, and it is such a gift. We’re here to do some good in the world, to be of service, and to be forever grateful,” she said.
