Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr delighted fans with a surprise reunion during McCartney’s “Got Back” tour at London’s O2 Arena on December 19, 2024. This performance marked their first onstage collaboration since 2019.

The duo performed Beatles classics, including “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” and “Helter Skelter,” to an enthusiastic audience of approximately 20,000 attendees. Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood also joined them for a rendition of “Get Back,” marking the first time a Beatle and a Rolling Stone performed together on stage.

The concert attracted several celebrities, including George Clooney, Judi Dench, Martin Freeman, and Professor Brian Cox. McCartney’s “Got Back” tour, which began in 2022, featured 59 shows across four continents, grossing approximately £154 million. The setlist included hits from both McCartney’s solo career and The Beatles, with highlights such as pyrotechnics during “Live and Let Die” and an AI-assisted duet with the late John Lennon.

This memorable reunion underscores the enduring legacy of The Beatles and the lasting camaraderie between McCartney and Starr, both now in their 80s, continuing to captivate audiences worldwide.
