Karen Huger, a star of “RHOP,” was found guilty of DUI and negligent driving.

Karen Huger, star of The Real Housewives of Potomac, has been found guilty of five out of six charges related to a March 2024 car crash in Potomac, Maryland. The jury convicted her on charges of driving under the influence (DUI), negligent driving, failure to control speed to avoid a collision, and failure to notify authorities of an address change. She was acquitted of reckless driving.

The incident occurred when Karen was driving her 2017 Maserati and struck a median and crosswalk sign before hitting a parking sign. While she was not injured, Karen was later charged. During the trial, an emergency medical technician testified that Karen appeared impaired, swaying and verbally lashing out at first responders. Body camera footage showed her slurring her speech and refusing a field sobriety test.

Karen’s defense argued that she was emotionally distressed, with her cousin testifying that Karen did not sound impaired during a phone conversation shortly before the crash.

Following the verdict, Karen’s attorney expressed disappointment but respected the jury’s decision. He confirmed plans to pursue an appeal. Karen’s sentencing is scheduled for January 29, 2025, and she faces up to two years in prison.

New episodes of The Real Housewives of Potomac air on Sundays at 8 pm ET on Bravo.
