According to reports, Manchester City and Arsenal are monitoring the 23-year-old Belgian star in anticipation of a possible trade battle.

Both Arsenal and Manchester City are reportedly interested in signing Maxim De Cuyper, the 23-year-old Belgian defender from Club Brugge, as they look to strengthen their defensive options. De Cuyper has been impressive for Brugge, making 24 appearances this season, with one goal and four assists. His performances, particularly on the left flank of defense, have caught the attention of both Premier League giants. Manchester City scouts were notably present during Club Brugge’s 2-0 win over Genk on December 15 to watch the player.

Arsenal could make a move for De Cuyper during the January transfer window. His ability to deliver precise crosses and set-piece deliveries makes him a potentially valuable addition to Mikel Arteta’s side, especially given the Gunners’ dominance in dead-ball situations.
