According to William Gallas, Cole Palmer might be signed by two clubs. “Chelsea fans should hope that neither of those clubs come in for him.”

Former Chelsea defender William Gallas has suggested that only La Liga giants Real Madrid and Barcelona could potentially lure Cole Palmer away from Stamford Bridge. Palmer, 22, has made a significant impact at Chelsea since joining from Manchester City for up to £42.5 million in 2023. He has been a key player in Chelsea’s Premier League title challenge this season, starting all 16 league matches and contributing 11 goals and six assists in 1,392 minutes.

Gallas, speaking to Prime Casino, noted that while Palmer is under contract with Chelsea until June 2033, he could thrive in Spain, particularly with Real Madrid or Barcelona. He emphasized that Chelsea fans should hope those clubs don’t come for him in the near future.

Palmer, who won the 2023-24 Premier League Young Player of the Season award, is expected to feature in Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League match against Everton on December 22.

In other news, Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson revealed that he was close to joining Aston Villa in 2022-23. Jackson explained that Villa’s interest was cut short due to a hamstring injury, but after his recovery, he moved to Chelsea for £32 million in 2023. Since joining Chelsea, Jackson has scored 26 goals and provided nine assists in 60 appearances.
