Arizona State Sun Devils transfer portal page
The Arizona State Sun Devils football team is actively engaging with the transfer portal, with several key players both joining and leaving the program. As of now, there are 11 Sun Devils who have entered the portal, including some notable departures, while others are being actively recruited as incoming transfers.
Incoming Transfers
- DT Jaden Williams (Wyoming) – Visiting. Williams, a redshirt sophomore from California, is a defensive tackle who had a solid season at Wyoming, finishing second on the team in pressures. He has also visited Kansas and Kentucky.
- RB Eli Sanders (New Mexico) – Visiting. The former Chandler High School standout transferred to New Mexico, where he topped 1,000 rushing yards. Sanders has a strong relationship with ASU’s running backs coach, Shaun Aguano.
- RB Kanye Udoh (Army) – Visiting. Udoh had a breakout season with over 1,100 rushing yards and is considered a top running back in the portal. Arizona State is competing with other schools for his commitment.
- DE Emar’rion Winston (Oregon) – Visiting. Winston, a former 4-star edge rusher, has struggled at Oregon and is now looking for more playing time. He has a connection with head coach Kenny Dillingham, who was on staff when Winston initially committed to the Ducks.
- WR Noble Johnson (Clemson) – Committed. Johnson, a Texas native, struggled for playing time at Clemson but has high potential. After a visit to ASU, he committed to the Sun Devils on December 15.
- WR Duce Robinson (USC) – Visiting. Robinson, a 5-star receiver from Arizona, entered the portal after a productive season at USC. He is a former tight end who transitioned to receiver and is considering ASU, along with other schools like Florida State and Texas A&M.
- K Jesus Gomez (Eastern Michigan) – Committed. ASU struggled with its kicking game in 2024, and Gomez, who ranked 5th in field goal percentage among kickers with at least 25 attempts, committed to the Sun Devils on December 15.
- WR Jalen Moss (Fresno State) – Visiting. Moss, a highly sought-after receiver, has received offers from at least 10 schools and will be visiting ASU, along with other programs like Arizona and Kansas.
- TE Randy Pittman (UCF) – Visiting. Pittman, a Florida native, had a productive sophomore season at UCF and is looking to visit ASU, among other schools.
- OL Amos Talalele (USC) – Visiting. Talalele, a redshirt freshman from USC, has seen limited playing time but is expected to visit ASU soon.
- LB Sione Fotu (Utah) – Visiting. Fotu, a former top-10 recruit from Utah, has seen rotational play for the Utes and is looking to add depth to ASU’s linebacker core.
- DE Malik Charles (West Georgia) – Visiting. Charles, a defensive end from West Georgia, had a breakout season with 7 sacks and 23 pressures. ASU is looking to add depth at the defensive end position.
- WR Joseph Williams (Tulsa) – Visiting. Williams, a productive receiver at Tulsa, has been offered by ASU and plans to visit the Sun Devils.
- WR Chase Sowell (East Carolina) – Visiting. Sowell, a former Colorado commit, transferred to East Carolina, where he was one of the top receivers in the conference.
- WR Tre Spivey (Kansas State) – Visiting. Spivey, a redshirt freshman from Chandler, Arizona, has the potential to contribute at ASU and is expected to visit after a trip to Arizona.
Outgoing Transfers
- DE Myles Amey – A walk-on from last season, Amey is expected to transfer to an FCS program.
- DT Tristan Monday – After transferring from Wisconsin, Monday struggled to see the field and is now entering the portal.
- DT Kyran Bourda – Bourda, a redshirt freshman, was unlikely to see significant playing time.
- LB K’Vion Thunderbird – Thunderbird, a redshirt freshman, has great upside but struggled to secure playing time due to the depth at linebacker.
- DE J’Mond Tapp – Tapp transferred from Texas but struggled to get on the field with ASU’s depth at defensive end.
- CB Laterrance Welch – Welch entered the portal after being dismissed due to theft charges.
- CB Keontez Bradley – Bradley struggled for playing time this season and has entered the portal after falling behind other cornerbacks on the depth chart.
- WR Korbin Hendrix – Hendrix, a track star with great speed, didn’t see much playing time and is likely transferring to find more opportunities.
- WR Kaleb Black – Black struggled in spring practice and had several drops during the season. His departure has been expected for months.
- S Kamari Wilson – Wilson, a 4-star recruit, was buried on the depth chart and will likely transfer to find more playing time.
- TE Markeston Douglas – Douglas, who was brought in for his blocking abilities, didn’t see much field time and announced his return to Florida State after transferring to ASU.
- WR Jamaal Young – Young, a walk-on, is transferring after a redshirt freshman season without much playing time.
Arizona State’s coaching staff is actively working to bolster its roster through the transfer portal, particularly in the areas of running back, defensive line, and receiver, while also addressing weaknesses like the kicking game.
